2AIRFM is a not-for-profit community operated radio station, broadcasting 24 hours a day from its Coffs Harbour studios located at 24 Glenreagh Street, Coffs Harbour ( Click here for location and street map ).
The broadcast area is the City of Coffs Harbour from Red Rock/Corindi in the north, Bonville/Crossmaglen in the south and Nana Glen in the west.
2AIRFM provides a Community Broadcasting service to the general community in its area. Many of the Station's listeners are in the over 45 demographic and although 2AIRFM's interest is not limited to those in this demographic, the Station does seek to ensure their needs are met.
The Station, unlike its competitors, broadcasts considerable country music. It also seeks to meet the spiritual needs of Christian listeners but not on a full time basis.
All personnel are volunteers. The station has over 400 members of which about 70 are on-air announcers. A further 20 assist in the running of the office whilst many others help with fundraising. It has a Board of Management which is elected every year in October.
