The dearth of country music on any local radio station was one of the driving forces behind the creation of 2AIR-FM. Given the large number of people who enjoy country music, it was strange that no radio station catered for them. Even the ABC had a very limited service.

There are 14 country music presenters who provide 43 hours of programs each week.

Country music begins each day’s programming, (except Sunday) usually 5am to 7am with other programs on some weeknights. The music played reflects the music library of the presenter and covers the full spectrum including new talent.

Country music from all over the world is played with the focus on Australian artists and composition.

Music from the 1940’s to the present is played with major signed artists and the independents are promoted.

These programs are extraordinarily popular with the listeners who often phone in requesting some long forgotten favourites. Go to program for times.
